Frequently asked questions.

From wood species and pricing to delivery areas and care tips — here are the questions we hear most from Palm Beach County homeowners.

Pricing and ordering

What does a custom table cost?

How much does a custom wooden picnic table cost?

Our custom picnic tables start at $600. Final pricing depends on the wood species you choose, the dimensions of the table, the finish, and whether you need delivery and setup. Cedar and cypress tables are typically in the $600–$900 range for standard sizes. Hardwood species like ipe or tropical hardwoods run higher. We'll give you a firm quote before any work begins — no surprises.

How do I get a quote for a custom picnic table?

The easiest way is to use our quote request form on the homepage. Tell us the approximate size you're thinking, the wood species if you have a preference, and whether you need delivery. We'll follow up within one business day. You can also call us at (561) 222-5018 — we're available daily from 9am to 9pm.

What is the lead time for a custom order?

Lead times vary depending on our current build schedule and the complexity of your order. Most standard custom tables are completed within two to four weeks from the time you confirm your order. Larger or more complex builds may take longer. We'll give you a realistic timeline when we confirm your quote.

Can I get a picnic table in a custom size?

Yes — every table we build is made to your specifications. We can build to any length, width, or height you need. Whether you have an unusually narrow patio, a large gathering space, or a specific seating count in mind, we'll size the table to fit. Just let us know your space dimensions and how many people you typically seat.

Materials and species

Which wood is right for Florida?

What wood species do you use for outdoor picnic tables in Florida?

We work primarily with Florida cypress, western red cedar, pressure-treated pine, and tropical hardwoods like ipe. Cypress is our most popular choice for South Florida — it's naturally rot-resistant, handles humidity well, and is locally available. Cedar is a great option for covered patios. Ipe is the most durable option for full-sun, high-traffic situations. We'll help you choose the right species for your specific outdoor environment.

Is cypress a good wood for outdoor furniture in Florida?

Cypress is one of the best wood choices for outdoor furniture in Florida. It contains natural oils and resins that resist rot, insects, and moisture — without chemical treatment. It holds up well in South Florida's humidity, UV exposure, and afternoon rain. Left unfinished, it weathers to a soft silver-gray. With a penetrating oil or sealant, it stays warm and golden for years. We recommend cypress for most backyard and patio applications in Palm Beach County.

What finish options are available?

We offer several finish options depending on your wood species and how much maintenance you want to do. Options include penetrating tung oil or linseed oil (natural, easy to reapply), exterior sealants and stains (more color protection, longer intervals between reapplication), and unfinished (lets the wood weather naturally — best for cypress). We'll walk you through the tradeoffs for your specific situation.

Do you offer attached benches or separate seating?

Both. Our Family Table and Long Table styles come with attached benches as standard. The Garden Table is designed for use with separate chairs. If you have a preference — attached benches for a classic picnic look, or separate seating for more flexibility — just let us know when you request your quote and we'll build accordingly.

Delivery and service area

Where do you deliver in Palm Beach County?

What areas in Palm Beach County do you serve?

We serve all of Palm Beach County, including Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, West Palm Beach, Lake Worth, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Boca Raton, and surrounding communities. Delivery and setup are available throughout the county. If you're just outside Palm Beach County — in Martin County or northern Broward County, for example — reach out and we'll let you know if we can accommodate your project.

Do you deliver and set up the table?

Yes. We offer delivery and setup throughout Palm Beach County. Delivery pricing depends on your location and the size of the order. We'll include delivery cost in your quote so you know the full price upfront. We'll bring the table to your backyard, patio, or outdoor space and make sure it's level and ready to use.

Can I pick up my table instead of having it delivered?

Yes, pickup is available from our Jupiter, FL location. If you have a truck or trailer and prefer to pick up your table, just let us know when you place your order. Pickup is a good option if you want to save on delivery cost or if you're nearby.

Care and maintenance

How do I keep my table looking great?

How do I maintain a wooden picnic table in Florida's climate?

Florida's combination of UV exposure, humidity, and rain is tough on outdoor wood. The most important thing you can do is apply a quality exterior sealant or penetrating oil once or twice a year. Keep the table clean — rinse off dirt, pollen, and debris regularly. If the table is in direct sun, a UV-blocking finish will significantly extend the life of the wood. We'll give you specific care instructions for your wood species and finish when we deliver your table.

How long will a custom wooden picnic table last outdoors in Florida?

A well-maintained cypress or cedar picnic table can last 15 to 25 years or more in a Florida backyard. Ipe and tropical hardwoods can last even longer with minimal maintenance. The key factors are the wood species, the finish, how much direct sun and rain the table gets, and how consistently you maintain it. We build our tables to last — the joinery and construction are designed for decades of outdoor use, not just a few seasons.

What should I do if my table gets mold or mildew?

Mold and mildew are common on outdoor wood in South Florida's humidity. Clean the affected area with a diluted solution of white vinegar and water, or a commercial wood cleaner designed for outdoor furniture. Scrub with a stiff brush, rinse thoroughly, and let the wood dry completely before reapplying any sealant or oil. If the mildew is recurring, it usually means the finish has worn down and the wood needs a fresh coat of sealant.
